Here is the demo to the second reprise of "Arabian Nights," a song from Howard Ashman's original treatment to ALADDIN.
In the original treatment, the narrator -- The Genie of the Ring, a character cut from the final film -- would appear from time to time to comment on and explain various points of the story, a theater device Howard and Alan had previously used in LITTLE SHOP. When ALADDIN went back into production, this aspect of the story was cut.
