In this blender Tutorial, ripples are created over the water surface using blender physical properties - Dynamic Paint.
Add plane, resize it , it will act water surface ,
Subdivide this Plane.
Add cube to see the impact of dynamic paint.
Now go to the physics tab and click on dynamic paint. Blender will add physics part. Select dynamic paint type field as canvas. & click on ad canvas. Now under surface change the surface type to waves. Go to object and click shade smooth.
For the cube, select and go to physics tab , select dynamic paint and keep type to brush.
Now add some suitable material to plane to look like water. Fisrt turn on render mode, uncheck snece world for HDRI lightining , set strength value 1.5. Add new material, under material tab , select color near to water. Change roughness to 0.1 so that there is shine. CHange transmission value to 1 so that water show reflection. Change IOR to 1.3. Now run the simulation.
Then add axis , make the cube link with axis, rotate the axis so that on different keyframes , cube rotate just like in circe. Now import and link boat to the axis.
