Battery Management System (BMS) Design Part 1 - Traps with Voltage Dividers
Hi, in this video I show how to use resistor voltage dividers to try an accurately measure 4 Li Fe PO4 batteries via the ADC converter in a Pic micro controller.
It was not as straightforward as I thought.
Clever C programming overcame the problem.
12 Bit ADC gives 0.001 accuracy with a voltage ref of 4.096 volts, not 16 bit.
16 Bit will give you a voltage divided into 65'536 bits.
