Lionfish in the Gulf of Mexico
Harte Research Institute researchers reported one of the first video confirmations of lionfish 40 miles southeast of Port Aransas near an artificial reef in the Gulf of Mexico. This work is funded by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Artificial Reef Program. This video was recorded using the camera within an ROV (a remotely operated underwater vehicle).
