Spring Jobs have started! | Easter Growing!
Welcome back to the garden! In this video, I take you through some springtime tasks in the vegetable patch. Join me as I demonstrate sowing gniff carrots in our metal raised bed, ensuring they grow straight and true by sieving the soil to prevent forking. I also plant out some sugarsnap peas, promising a sweet harvest in the weeks to come.
But that's not all! I'll also guide you through the delicate process of pricking out seedlings, including little gem lettuce and wild rocket, ensuring they have the space they need to thrive. Plus, I have exciting news about our live chat shows – while they've paused until autumn, keep an eye out for occasional sessions throughout spring and summer!
In addition to our veggie endeavors, fellow plotholder Cheryl has created a stunning spring and summer flower bed, adding bursts of color to our allotment. And over at the grapevine plot, I'll share my tips for planting out onion sets and protecting them from pesky allium leaf miner with netting.
