In the Frozen animation, Elsa's hair has a deeper meaning than meets the eye. Her hair is in a tightly tied style at the beginning of the first movie. This symbolizes his character who has to hide his powers and constantly tries to suppress who she really is. At the end of the movie, Elsa's hair is looser and in a braid, hanging down. So it shows that she is now starting to accept the person she really is, but she is still not completely free. At the end of Frozen 2, she finally has her hair completely let down. Because now she completely stops being the person her family wants her to be, turns into the person she wants to be and becomes a woman as free as her hair.
