build a selfmade lift bridge for a model railway in H0 scale with foundations (prototype / part 1)
Welcome back model railway fans :)
In this video, we build our first prototype lift bridge for a modular model railroad. The construction include 3 modules.
Building a bridge that is supposed to offer a function is not so easy and takes a lot of time. The bridge can be integrated into any model train that consists of modules and allows expansion.
Our rule model is the street bridge in Bordeaux (France):

The measures are:
→ extensions: 85 cm x 40 cm
→ main module: 133,33 cm x 60 cm
→ bridge abutment: approximately 50 cm x 3 cm
We control the bridge via Arduino.
