PCb big meeting ahead of Champions Trophy 2025 preparations

The budget was approved in the 72nd meeting of the Board of Governors of the Pakistan Cricket Board In the meeting, the performance of the national cricket team in the ICCT 20 World Cup and other administrative matters were discussed and the financial year 25. The 2024 budget was approved.
During the meeting, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi informed the Board of Governors about the upgrading of stadiums in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi. 12 billion 80 crore rupees have been allocated while funds of 4 billion 50 crore rupees have been kept for the promotion of domestic cricket.
It was decided in the meeting that PCB will take care of 12 grounds by itself for the promotion of domestic cricket, PCB will also provide funds for staff and maintenance of 100 grounds across Pakistan.
The Board of Governors of PCB approved the increase in the contract of domestic cricket players and the central contract of women cricketers. In the meeting, the budget of women's cricket has been increased for the first time from 70 lakh rupees to 2 crore 40 lakh rupees.
In the meeting, a briefing was given about the preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan next year, in the meeting of the Board of Governors, a briefing was also given on the upgrade project of Gaddafi Stadium, National Bank Stadium Karachi and Rawalpindi Stadium.
Speaking during the meeting of the Board of Governors, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that the upgradation work of the stadiums will be completed before the Champions Trophy. Arrangements will be made according to international standards, new venues for tournaments and matches are being worked on.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi informed about the measures taken to strengthen domestic and women's cricket, various suggestions were considered for the improvement of domestic cricket.
Secretary Board and Chief Operating Officer PCB Salman Naseer and Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza gave a briefing about the important features of the budget and other issues.
Members of the Board of Governors Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Sajjad Ali Khokhar, Zafarullah. Tanveer Ahmed, Tariq Sarwar, Dr. Anwar Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Ismail Qureshi, Miraj Mehmood, Isama Azhar and Director of Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi attended the meeting.
