Two-time Grey Cup winner, Vernon Pahl began his adult life as a line backer for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 1980s. But after retiring at the tender age of 32, he pursued a career in law.
As a partner of Vancouver's Guild Yule LLP, he practices in the areas of municipal law, product liability, maritime law, personal injury, and general insurance defence litigation. He has acted on behalf of foreign and domestic shipowners, charterers and underwriters in relation to matters concerning yacht claims, marine related personal injury claims, collisions, marine insurance, and maritime lien claims and enforcement.
Expect Vernon to discuss not only his law career but his time as both a football star and professional sailor.
