Frank Nicolas - Suitcase City
I wrote this song for the Art Rocks competition, a fun project where you pick one of the featured works of art and write a song about it.
This one was inspired by 'Portable city of Groningen' by Yin Xiuzhen, the Dutch city of Groningen modeled into a suitcase using only materials worn by inhabitants of that town. I thought bringing a city along in a suitcase was a comforting concept for people who are on the road all the time.
