Gallery Teacher Melissa Gonzales demonstrates ways in which parents can guide their children through the Nasher's galleries and engage them with the art.

Tips include:
Sit down, pause in front of the art work.
Ask open-ended questions.
Everyone's perspective is valid.
It's okay to say, "I don't know."
Engage the work of art with your child as a shared experience.
Use your body as a way to explore scale and shape.

Tools needed:
Pencil and paper, perhaps a sketch board.
