In this short video I aim to summarise what I see to be the key issues and potential benefits local people ought to know about regarding Heidelberg Materials application to expand Grange Top Quarry. Ketton Cement is the largest industrial works in the region, a major employer and a major polluter.

I feel the coupling of the visual element of this piece with relevant information will help local people to make informed comments on the application to hopefully shape the plans to better reflect the priorities of locals, the environment, infrastructure and to ideally evert a tragic loss of some spectacular areas of natural beauty under threat from the application in its current form. I also want to illustrate how the works do benefit the area and how quarrying is a part of Ketton's heritage, but that continued operations shouldn't come at an irreparable cost to the village.
