Introduction to SIEM/SOAR

Have you ever wondered what exactly is SIEM and SOAR? Why are they important in Cyber Security or how they are used? In this webinar Kenneth Ellington will break down what exactly these two technology stacks are, why they are used, and some simple use cases. He will show how to use Splunk, one of the market leaders in log management platforms, and Palo Alto XSOAR SOAR, one of the market leaders in SOAR platforms. You do not need any prior experience in the SIEM or SOAR niche to understand these topics. It is suggested that you have general IT or Cyber security experience to get the most out of this session.

Kenneth Ellington is a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at EY who specializes in SIEM and SOAR technologies such as Splunk and Resilient. Demonstrated the ability to build complex SQL queries and visualizations as well as integrating different data sources into the SIEM platform to be monitored. He is also the Founder and owner of Ellington Cyber Academy an E-Learning platform that teaches and trains people on how to use various SIEM and SOAR technologies so that they can transition or upskill themselves in their careers
