I really hope this is helpful to some of you future vlogging thru-hikers out there. The is no right or wrong way on how to vlog or record a thru hike, but this is the method that I used. I think this video would also be good for people looking to record video on an extended travel trip as well; not just a thru-hike. Also, in this video, I forgot to mention hard drive formats. If you’re going to use the same method I did, I formatted my hard drive in the Extended (Journaled) type through Disk Utility on my MacBook. Having your external hard drive formatted in that way will allow your iPhone to recognize it just as mine did.
