Phuket Karon Beach during rain season
Karon Beach is always worth a visit. Even in rain season. But be carefull - the red flags are not there for decoration!! The waves are up to 4 m high. What many tourist are not aware of, is the enormous strong current. You can't see it, but it's there. Many swimmers ignore the red flags and enjoy the big waves. Some of them pay the high risk with their lifes.
At the moment Phuket authorities are planning a campagne to call attention to this life threatening danger.

Just to proof what I am saying: Since I uploaded the viedeo a few days ago, 3 swimmer died already because they ignored the red flags!!
