Channel is a colourful, fractal electronic experiment - An album of IDM, glitch and ambient music grown from a single seed. While this isn't strictly a Rhubarb Zoo project, we know many of you like our music, so wanted to let you know what we're up to. An unconventional tree-like approach was used for the album’s composition, beginning with a simple melodic sample and a photo of a stone bridge crossing a river.
Each band member used these as an inspirational starting point, yielding four tracks that would act as the base of the album’s sound.
Over the course of a year, each artist took their bandmates’ compositions and created new works inspired by each of them, leading to three musical ‘branches’ sprouting from each of the first four tracks.
