Campo Maior is a Portuguese border village in the district of Portalegre, region of Alentejo and sub-region of Alto Alentejo with around 7,400 inhabitants.
It is the seat of the municipality of Campo Maior with an area of 247.20 km² and 8,042 inhabitants (2021), subdivided into 3 parishes. The municipality is bordered to the north and east by Spain, to the southeast by the municipality of Elvas and to the west by Arronches.
It is the place where Santa Beatriz da Silva, the founder of the Order of the Immaculate Conception, and her brother Beato Amadeu da Silva were born.
