MAMP 3 and WordPress
MAMP is used for developing sites locally on your own computer before uploading them to a live domain.
I am showing how to install and use MAMP 3. Then how to install WordPress.
I am also showing how to copy existing sites and databases from MAMP 2 to MAMP 3.
If you plan on creating a multisite you will also need to change the port numbers. Through the MAMP panel (with the Servers stopped). Click Preferences and select Ports. Change the Apache port to 80 and MySQL Port to 3306. Click ok then restart the Servers. Go ahead and create your multisite.
