Lenovo Y500 + GTX 1050Ti eGPU Benchmarks
Here are a few benchmark and FPS results from some of the games I play with my eGPU setup.
A decent playable framerate would be at 30 FPS at 2560x1080/75hz ultrawide. Anything below 20 FPS might be hard to enjoy. I can push some of these games to at least 60 FPS but would have to set the graphics to low.
Here's my Lenovo Y500 quick specs:
15.6" wide screen
Intel Core i5 3230m 2.6 Ghz
8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 RAM PC3-12800
120GB SSD
1TB HDD
I used MSI Afterburner to get the benchmark details and recorded my screen with the Windows 10 screen recorded. Using MSI Afterburner to capture my screen drops my average FPS immediately to half but records the graphic details very accurately. I wasn't able to edit it in the video since it was too much for my editing tool to handle as well as the details would probably be lost when rendering.
