(DAY 2) Presentation 5, Adam Tow: My history with Newton
Adam Tow was the head of the Newton Developers Association at the time the Apple PDA was canceled in 1998. He led a protest outside of Apple shortly after the cancellation (which turned out to be current CEO Tim Cook’s first day at work). Adam talks about some of his software and experiences with Steve Jobs, and other Newton folklore.
This and other presentations are part of the Worldwide Online Newton Conference. The Apple Newton was an early tablet computer which is still celebrated by fans today for its unique and personable use of technology, and as remarkably different from a programming viewpoint.
