My Father, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, once told me that the job of a Messiah is similar to that of a weaver or a knitter. His job is to take different strands of yarn and create a beautiful tapestry that represents the world family. But before he starts, he has to untangle and unravel the knots in the tapestry that has kept God's children away from reaching their true potential and finish the job that needs to be done.
For those of us inspired by my Father and Mother, or True Parent's work, we have also labored along with them knitting loop after loop day after day. Some of us are still going strong but some of us are simply tired getting lost in the details and forgetting to see the big picture.
