ZOOM is a great platform to use to connect with people virtually and there are a few security settings that you should be aware of.
The first item is to lock the meeting. You may want to consider locking the meeting so no one can hack in and interrupt. Keep in mind though that if you lock the meeting, even people with the access code can't get in so make sure you make people aware you're locking the meeting and how they can reach out to you to get back in if needed.
The next item is the "enable waiting room". Once again this is to keep people out who are not suppose to be in the meeting out. However, if you're going to be having hundreds of people log in within a few minutes you may not want to have to click on "admit all" or "admit" next to the names. So you can disable the waiting room till a majority of the people have signed on but keep in mind, everyone will get into your meeting if they have the passcode.
Other features include what you will and won't allow participants to do.
