Dr. Daneshrad added this unique procedure to his practice for a number of reasons. The process is a good alternative for patients who cannot have sinus surgery. The procedure is nonsurgical, it is fairly short, the recovery is quite simple, and the results are long-lasting.

Transcript:
In general, balloon sinus dilation takes anywhere between half an hour to 45 minutes. But, most of that time is actually associated with the anesthesia. The actual procedure itself only takes five to 10 minutes to do. Immediately after the procedure, we usually have someone drive the patient home from balloon sinus dilation. This is simply to make sure the patient's comfortable on their ride home. Once home, most patients just have a little bit of bloody, mucousy discharge from their nose for a couple of days. I've had patients be back on the golf links within three days after the surgery.
