Rivers - Middle Course
The features and characteristics of a river's middle course. The example used is the River Calder. The journey resumes at Mytholmroyd and flows through Dewsbury, Wakefield and ends at Castleford, where the River Calder meets the River Aire.
We encounter meanders, river cliffs, slip-off slopes and oxbow lakes.
