Back before the invention of the boxing glove, there was bare knuckle boxing.
If you hit someones “how to get hit without getting hurt” you'd break your hand (Boxers Fracture).
Iron Fist training prevents this from happening. Today we have modern karate, UFC, and Boxing gloves making Iron Fist outdated.

Taekwondo evolved from Karate, which still implements iron fist training. As Taekwondo deviates from Karate, some outdated practices (Brick Breaking) are still used for belt promotion, even when students haven't conditioned their hands, let alone use them in sparring.

Brick breaking is not a mark of competence in Taekwondo, leading to erroneous measurements of martial ability and a false sense of security.

Lastly, Iron Fist training takes longer than a month, a couple of years!
So don't break bricks without proper training!
