YouTube and Game Dev are two separate disciplines which for many work in conflict with each other. Some maintain a regular schedule following the passion of their game at the cost of growing a fast audience - others find more joy in the process of creating content and lean into YouTube as their primary focus - most (myself included historically) get discouraged and give up on both entirely
Here's my updated view on the battle between being a game developer and growing an audience on YouTube
