Chapter 15: Xen - Part 3
On Xen, Freeman keeps following the river into a large cave system, and re-emerges onto a "peninsula" of sorts containing a highly sophisticated alien teleportation device. To get closer to the tower, he must repair the teleporter, which has fallen into disarray since its last use.

Playlist of completed chapters:    • Black Mesa (2019) - Full Playthrough [Hard]

Notes:
Minor audio desync from the start of the video until 5:25, due to the first clip running at 59.97FPS as opposed to the latter clips' (after the loading transition) 60FPS. I don't think the audio desync is significant enough to warrant a second render though
These two maps (loading transition at 5:24) are a re-imagining of the HL1 Xen chapter's teleporter island. In HL1, the teleporter island is reached relatively quickly after Freeman drops down from the rotating rocks at the beginning of the chapter. In Black Mesa, the "island" is reached at the end of the chapter, as shown here

Trivia:
The underwater Barnacles seen at 1:24 ("beneathacles", as termed by the devs) are a new addition to Black Mesa's Xen. They function identically to regular Barnacles, except they drag the player down into the water. Still susceptible to explosives such as satchels, as demonstrated at 4:34
The re-imagined teleporter island from HL1's Xen chapter is first glimpsed at 2:34 as a tease
Whereas the original HL1 teleporter island is an actual floating island (isolated from all other parts of Xen physically), the Black Mesa teleporter seems to be located on some sort of peninsula. However, for nostalgia's sake I will keep referring to it as the "teleporter island"
The Bullsquid seen at 2:41 as I pan over the island is encountered in the next map, as shown at 6:22
The supply cache that teleports in at 2:46 is sent by the Lambda team, as evident by the handwritten note at 2:58
Many of the supply caches sent by the Lambda team contain such sticky notes as shown at 2:58, with motivational and encouraging messages addressed to Freeman
The teleporter puzzle in Black Mesa as shown starting at 9:58 is substantially different in HL1. In HL1, the player has to break open three cages to release some butterfly-like aliens that come together to power the teleporter
