ABOUT ED
Ed Larsen's first career was behind a radio broadcast microphone in his native Midwest hosting music formats and calling sports play-by-play. He began his teaching career in 1997 and advised student publications for 17 of his 23 years in the high school classroom. He served as the Houston Area TAJE Regional Rep from 2010-2014, coached his journalism students as they won 8 UIL State medals including 2 state champions and a Best in Texas News writer. He is a 2017 ILPC Edith Fox King award recipient, and after retiring from the classroom in 2020, joined the team at Walsworth Yearbooks in 2022.
His biggest blessings are his 7 adult children and his soon-to-be 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
