3D Printed Ball Balancing Robot | PID Controlled Using LABview (2022)

Outline: This video highlights how I built a custom 3D printed Ball-Balancing Platform using the Labview Software. Completed as an end of the Semester Project for a class titled Computer Methods at Bethel University, this project utilizes the PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) algorithm which is based on the difference of errors. Constructed out of PETG plastic, a 7" resistive touchscreen overlay paired with its signal adapter from Adafruit, two MG995 servo motors, and miscellaneous hardware, the system effectively prevents the ball from ever falling off the platform by actively and proactively adjusting the tilt angle to redirect the ball to the center.
