This is something that does not come naturally to me, but as I worked on it I felt much better.
I am not great at this but I do find that it can make a huge difference on my outlook when I remember to focus on this...
When you wake up in the morning, get in the habit of making
your first thought a positive one:
“I am ready for today.” “Today is a new opportunity.”
“I will do something I am proud of today.”

Light a candle and just watch the flame for a few minutes

If you have lots of time to kill but big thoughts on your mind
doing a puzzle can be a wonderful distraction. It takes a lot of concentration but can be done in teeny-tiny increments.
