METAMORPHOSES in GORI/CURTAIN CALL
On October 11, 2024 within the framework of Gori Theatre Festival ROTONDA on the Grand Stage of Gori Giorgi Eristavi State Drama Theatre, Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet presented METAMORPHOSES.
Based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses, this contemporary ballet depicts a universe which is shaped by constant changes. Using the combination of David Maziashvili’s concept, Ana Ninua’s stage design and the synthesis of Johann Sebastian Bach’s music and original music by Nika Machaidze, the company’s remarkable dancers present these transformations through the language of Mariam Aleksidze’s contemporary choreography.
