Last summer, my granddaughter was sitting on my back porch at dusk reading a book. By eight-fifteen she had thirteen mosquito bites on her arms.

I have planted forty years of so-called mosquito-repellent perennials around that porch. Most of them did not work.

This video is the eleven I tried - and the four that actually moved the needle.

The plant at number one has been in my back garden since 1995. It has had thirty years to fail my granddaughter's porch test. It has not failed yet.
