You are cordially invited to the book release of “ISLANDIA,” an art publication that surveys South Florida’s underwater landscapes, history, and the diverse cultures of past and present. Gustavo Oviedo’s ten years worth of nautical expeditions, murals, and studio practices were curated into 100 pages of diverse imagery that take you through a series of remote underwater landmarks.
The launch event will take place on Saturday, January 12th, from 3pm to 6pm at Racket, located in Wynwood (150 NW 24th St, Miami, FL). On view will be a site specific art installation and the artist’s nautical videos to celebrate the book’s release. A limited edition of signed copies of “ISLANDIA” will be available for purchase.
