Apple Facts and Statistics
Originally founded in 1976 as Apple Computer Company, the company hails from famously humble origins. Its first product, the Apple I desktop computer, soon led to its breakthrough creation: the Apple II. The Apple II’s massive success would not only dominate the company’s revenue for nearly a decade, but revolutionize the home computer market forever.

Apple saw considerable decline in popularity and profits throughout the 90’s. Following the return of co-founder Steve Jobs as CEO 1997, Apple underwent a massive restructuring to refocus on computer tech. The result was the best-selling iMac computer. And just like that, Apple was back on top.

Apple’s innovations throughout the 2000’s and early 2010’s - including Mac OS X, the Macbook Pro, the iPod and the iPad - brought the company to soaring new highs of success. But none perhaps as significant as its flagship product: the iPhone. Released more than 15 years ago, today the iPhone is Apple’s primary source of revenue, with over 1.3 billion units sold worldwide to date

Apple Sales and Revenue
The company’s sheer revenue power can’t be overstated. In 2018, after 15 years of seismic year-to-year growth, Apple became the first American company to hit a
$1 trillion market value. By 2020 it would hit $2 trillion… And then briefly, in 2022, $3 trillion. Buoyed by a history of overperformance, Apple’s stock outlook continues to look exceedingly high. And as the world nears the new era of 5G tech, Apple seems poised for even greater returns in the coming years.

The most critical thing to watch for Apple in 2023 is its supply chain for the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro. If Apple can overcome its manufacturing difficulties - even by moving some of its assembly network out of China - that could spell huge returns for investors in the long run.
