Kay Powell Program Director Video 2023
Hear from our new Residency Program Director, Kay Powell, DO.
She comes to us from MercyOne Psychiatry Resident Clinic in Des Moines, IA, where she was medical director and supervised second, third, and fourth-year residents. While at MercyOne, Kay was also Associate Program Director of the Iowa Medical Education Collaborative Psychiatry Residency Program. A board-certified psychiatrist, she completed her residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, earned her DO at Des Moines University, and her BA from St. John’s College-Santa Fe. In 2022, Kay won the Society of St. Luke’s Award from MercyOne for providing compassionate care and being a servant leader.
