Hands On with After Dark 4: A Look Through All the Modules on the Premier Screen Saver Application
After Dark was already well established at the leader in Screen Saving, back when screens needed to be saved in the days of the CRT. Version 4 from 1996 saw this package take another step forward in complexity with more sound, more complicated scenes, and some pre-rendered sprites.
YesterYear’s Mac Games takes a look at what this package contained, from Hula Twins to a very bad dog, across a busy townscape to the Flying Toasters. All included screen savers are present.
After Dark 4 will run on era appropriate Windows and Macintosh computers, and is a joy to experience even today.
