Hai….to day we are going to review this Predominantly Brown and lotus red color vitenami currency. The currency here is called the dong. The word dong is derived from the chinese word dong tien referred to as chinese bronze coins used as currencies during the dynastic period of china and vietnam. This brownish lotus red coloured 500 Nam Tram Dong is issued by the state bank of vietnam. It was sub divided into 10 hao which was further divided to 10 xu. But neither of them are being used now
The banknote of 500 Vietnamese Dong features the portrait of Ho Chi Minh, the former Prime Minister of Vietnam. There is also the coat of arms of vietnam.
On the back side of this bill is an image of ships in a dock at Haiphong port.

The State Bank of Vietnam issued Vietnamese Dong banknotes in 12 different denominations, including this 500 Vietnamese Dong in the year 1988.The State Bank of Vietnam started printing these 500 Dong banknotes in year 1988 but was issued in circulation on 15 August 1989.. They were withdrawn from circulation in the year 2006.
As seen as the most common factor in major currencies across the globe , this currency too also has the UV stripes that get illuminated all along the currency as they are embedded into the bank note.
