Emergency Opioid Overdose Response
This short video aims to walk you through the administration of rescue breaths and Naloxone in the event of an urgent overdose situation. Overdoses caused by opioids are due to a suppression of respiratory function, therefore oxygen (giving breaths) every five seconds is crucial. Remember to pinch the nose and open the airway by lifting the back of the neck for every breath you administer. Do not administer chest compressions if the person has a pulse.
