ESRC has been working for decades to try and improve the provision of quantitatively trained social scientists.

In this video, ESRC Chief Executive Paul Boyle talks about the Q-Step programme and how it will boost quantitative social science #training.

We've teamed up with the Nuffield Foundation and HEFCE to provide over £19 million to improve training at the undergraduate level. The initiative will spread across fifteen centres of excellence, fifteen higher education institutions that will be running the programmes.

'We're going to end up with a cohort of students coming through year on year who really are going to be able to deliver what we need'
