Fehling Test Performance
This test is used to detect reducing sugars like all monosaccharides and disaccharides other than sucrose.
REAGENTS & GLASSWARES OF FEHLING TEST:
Reagent A: Dissolve 34.65 g of copper sulphate (cupric sulphate) in 400 ml of distilled water and make the final volume 500 ml with distilled water.
Reagent B: Dissolve 125 g of KOH and 173 g of sodium-potassium tartrate (Rochelle salt) in 400 ml of distilled water and make the final volume 500 ml with distilled water.
Do not mix both solutions A & B and mix when you start analysis.
Test tubes, test tube stands, test tube holder, pipette with sucker, beakers and graduated cylinder.
