I just got on this flight to Tampa and the captain collected the cabin crew and they did a brief pre-flight introduction, talked about the flight plan. But one of the things I thought was really good was they all said their first name. I'm Brett, John, Judy, and Charlie and Matt. So that equalizes the power gradient and I'm imagining a lot of places where that can be applied.
That comes from CRM, crew resource management, and maybe at the morning shift free for a construction site or in the operating theatre for a surgery team, but it's a really good practice because then it's more likely for the junior people or the younger people or the less experienced people to speak up when there's a problem.
