Generator set efficiency as a function of power factor
The efficiency of a generator set is 100% at a power factor of 0.8, but decreases as soon as the cos φ of the load is higher or lower than this value; it is therefore essential to take the power factor into account to correctly size the generator power. Additional Resources:
