All aboard the first-ever KTM ETS service to Johor Bahru (JB Sentral) — a new milestone in Malaysia’s intercity rail network! Join me on this historic ETS Platinum 9511dn journey from KL Sentral to JB Sentral, experiencing the full route across Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor. 🚄✨ With the ETS extension to JB Sentral, the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia is now fully electrified from north to south from Padang Besar to JB Sentral.
The new JB Sentral-KL Sentral Electric Train Service (ETS) restores direct train connectivity between Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur from 12 December 2025, which was broken for about 9.5 years since 19 May 2016.
Watch for major updates on interior views, inclusive meals, and new seating on Malaysia’s premium high-speed service. While branded as ETS Platinum, this train makes stops at all stations between Pulau Sebang/Tampin and JB Sentral.
