Calarts Sketchbook 2019 [Kactus Kid] [Reupload]
‣‣ Ok so I may or may not have deleted the original video out of paranoia lmao but it's back!! And with better music!
This is the sketchbook I sent out to all my schools and mailed out to Calarts! I'm applying for animation to:

Ahhh, so much craziness. Every now and then I'll be hit with a blind flash of panic and start staring off into space going, "your portfolio sucked! Your lines were sloppy and your figure drawings looked like a 5 year old did them!". I'll get really stressed. Even though I know that whatever happens happens and that I can still get to where I want to go in the end, I still feel a sense of instability when I picture the rejection note I'll most likely be reading in a few weeks, like a rug is being pulled out from under me. I guess that's the problem with wanting to be somewhere so far away with such an intense desire LOL.
I'm prepared to be disappointed in the spring, but I take comfort in the fact that no matter where I go I will meet amazing new people and learn new skills. Thank you everyone who supported me on instagram, tumblr, and youtube this past year! It's truly been an incredible journey, and no matter where I go I will always be grateful.
The songs in this video are actually ones I wrote! It's for an album called "Iced Lemonade" I'm trying to make during my free time, since songwriting is actually a big passion of mine. The first song is called Iced Lemonade and the second song is Let There Be A Snow Day. The layering is really off bc I have a hard time staying on beat, which is something I'm trying to fix, and I'm not the most confident with my guitar skills. Lemme know what you think!
