Exploring down the coast | Flare Moustache 18m
No better feeling than taking off on a Road Trip exploring new Flaring sites down the coast.
Broadwater National Park, Evans Head, NSW.
This was the day 1 of a 5 day flying trip down the coast, the forecast was looking good for this section of dunes, but ended up going to shit. We flew here the first afternoon in average conditions, but hopeful for the next few days. We spent the whole next day waiting around for wind, but it never came. Over the coming days we headed South and flew a couple of new sites, tbc!
This day it was a bit cross to the Right, SE, and around 16-20 knots. I wanted to fly the Flare Moustache 15m but with it being cross I chose the 18m for extra power when I wanted/needed it.
*Paragliding Broadwater National Park, NSW is quite sensitive with NSW Parks and Wildlife. You need to be a member of the Northern Rivers Paragliding Club, be inducted to this site by a local club member, carry a VHF radio and check local NOTAM. I will link the club page below, you need to be a member to see the information about each site in the area. Membership is cheap, $25 a year/$15 a month.
