Remembering a friend | Fabian - We love you
In loving memory of Fabian Walsh.
Last weekend the flying community lost a good friend, Fabian Walsh, in a speedflying accident in the UK.
I first was introduced to Fabi through Flare. He took on the sales and customer service role for Flare soon after the brand was established. First time I met fabian was an online meeting, I was greeted with a huge smile (for the size of his head/hat) HEEEEEEEEY!!! Pushing forward in his seat at the computer screen, nice to meet you MAAATE, hahaha, he laughed. We got on instantly, and kept in regular contact until we met in Denmark.
We hung out in Denmark for a week, cruising up the coast of Jutland, Denmark. He was running a demo tour and spent a lot of time talking to people about the Moustache, super passionate and excited, and at any chance he would rip off for a fly.
He was enthusiastic to say the least, a full time frother, helpful and thoughtful, a really curious pilot and hungry for progression, stoked to talk about flying and building the flying community. Super passionate about the brand Flare and it's products, the Moustache and Line.
His big smile and quirky attitude will be missed, at work, on the hill and at home. We love you Fabi.
