EDF Renewables are helping England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales achieve ambitious climate targets
We all have a part to play in combatting climate change. As world leaders meet at #COP26 to put forward their plans for reaching global net zero, we want to share what we're doing to help England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales achieve their ambitious climate targets.
Our rapidly expanding portfolio includes:
• 37 onshore wind farms
• Two major offshore wind developments at @Neart na Gaoithe in Scotland and @Codling Wind Park in Ireland
• An onshore wind and solar development pipeline of around 800 MW in Ireland
• Our first grid-scale solar farm in Lincolnshire and plans for a major solar farm and battery storage project at Longfield, Essex
• A 22 turbine wind farm development in mid-Wales
• The UK's first two transmission-connected battery sites in Oxford and Kent
• Pivot Power’s Energy Superhub, the world’s first integrated approach to decarbonising power, heat and transport for the city of Oxford
But we don't plan to stop there. We're planning to build five times what we already have in operation and we're investing in future innovations too, such as a floating offshore wind development in North East England, hydrogen technology and a 2GW pipeline of grid-scale battery storage and power infrastructure for charging electric vehicles.
