Dante's View is the starting point for this short hike, but it's also a rewarding view in and of itself. One of the best views in the Mojave Desert, if you ask me!
Coffin Peak is a mile high above sea level and it is overlooking Badwater Basin, the lowest valley in North America. Its several hundred feet below sea level. Then, on the opposing end of that low valley rises Telescope Peak towering over 11,000 feet above sea level.
This makes for an incredible scene. It's a magnificent place!
