Hope and Turmoil is the highly anticipated second studio album from Finnish band Everlore, released on March 1, 2025. This pure power metal work, with classic influences from the genre, follows the band's self-titled debut album (2020) and consolidates the epic and melodic style that fans love.
With 10 tracks totaling approximately 57 minutes, the album features solid production, rich arrangements, and a mix of powerful riffs, catchy melodies, and potent vocals. The sound is reminiscent of bands like Blind Guardian (especially from their classic era) and Gamma Ray, but with modern touches and a unique identity. There are elements of fantasy, epic battles, and more introspective moments, reflecting the title which suggests a balance between hope and conflict.
Standard tracks include singles like I Am the Virus (with a lyric video released before the album), Wilderness, and the epic Warrior Hearts, which opens the album with contagious energy.
