Real Shawarma 🌯

I've already shown you several healthy shawarma recipes with Greek yogurt, but this is the recipe for the real thing we're all used to. Only with good, tasty meat and the right sauce.

What you'll need:
🔸Chicken thigh – 600 g
🔸Liquid marinade from Vegeta – 1 pack
🔸Lavash
🔸Tomatoes
🔸Onion (add 1 teaspoon sugar, 0.5 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon 9% vinegar)
🔸Cabbage
🔸Cucumber

Sauce:
🔸Sour cream – 3 tablespoons
🔸Mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons
🔸Dill
🔸Salt – 1/3 teaspoon
🔸Garlic – 1 clove
🔸Pinch of pepper
🔸Khmeli-suneli – 1/3 teaspoon

Add the liquid marinade to the chicken thighs and let marinate for 1 hour. This marinade does not contain any flavor enhancers or flavorings and is ideal for any meat.

Fry the chicken in butter for about 12 minutes over medium-high heat, until golden brown. Then finely chop it into strips.

For the sauce, simply mix all the ingredients.

Cut the onion into half rings, add salt, sugar, and vinegar, and marinate for 30 minutes to prevent bitterness. Then rinse in cold water.

Chop all the remaining vegetables as shown in the video and assemble the most delicious shawarma.

Fry on a hot grill (or in a frying pan if necessary) until it just starts to set. No need to dry out the lavash! No need to put it in the oven either 😅
